Dr. Mornane is a highly experienced veterinarian with expertise across a broad range of disciplines which he has gained form his unique background Dr. Mornane graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1967. Dr. Mornane spent his first few years practicing as a veterinarian in various urban and rural centers in southern Australia. In the early 1970's he moved to Darwin in Australia's remote tropical north. He developed a very large general veterinary practice servicing a surrounding area of 500 to 600 miles. Dr. Mornane's practice was not limited to any particular species and due to the isolation referral to specialists was not an option. Self reliance and ingenuity together with skill was called for . He also gained expertise in treating skin conditions associated with the harsh tropical climate of the Northern Territory, not dissimilar to South Florida. Throughout the years, non-domesticated animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, water buffalos, the odd crocodile and even stonefish were treated. The nearest private practice at this time was 1,000 miles south of Darwin, in Alice Springs.
In recent years Dr. Mornane's focus has been on combining his expertise with the latest in technology.
